Down for a while...

Monkey is turning 1 this wkend. I can't believe how fast it's gone by...(sniff)

We're having a big shin-dig to celebrate and so I've been swamped with planning and getting the house reorganized (damn construction), so...

Also, I have no computer right now other than my wonderful husbands work computer, so I can't download pics, can't do much of anything. It takes about an hour just to load my email. Woohoo!

My husband says I can buy a new computer, but it has to wait for a few weeks, so until then, I won't have much for you. Sorry...that's how it goes :)

100 and counting...

So this is my 100th post and I've got nothing for you. No clever witty comments, no cute pictures, no naughty pictures, no pictures at all...

I've got nothing.

Except Pregnant Brain. Apparently it's a real thing. If it hadn't been documented, I'm sure I would've thought that it was because my almost-1-yr-old Monkey smashed his head into my face this morning and now I'm just not smart anymore...

But they say that pregnancy does this to a woman, so I'm going with that.

Earlier this week, when I was making Monkey's 1 year appointment, the woman asked me "Last name?" and I seriously had to think for about 4 seconds, going uuhhhhhhh.......ummmmmm......errrrrr......before I could tell her.
She thought I was dumb. I could hear it in her voice. I'm sure she was thinking...Oh my god, this woman is having another child? She doesn't even know their names!!!

4 kids.
I can't believe we're going to have 4 kids.
It's something I always wanted, something my husband wants, something that we planned for.

We are all going to be insane. That's all.

I won't have my brain power back for a looooooong time. Between the rants of my borderline-hormonal-drama queen Pipps to my Bobalu that's got his genius-brain-social-issues problems to my Monkey that's just now realized that he can have a temper tantrum...
(we won't even get into my redneck-Harley-loving husband and his antics... :)

I'm going to have my hands full.

I hope I'll still be able to write.

My Darling Nephew

The kids and I went to Denver last month with my Mom to visit my little blister and her family. My one and only nephew was having his first birthday, so we went to celebrate with him.

Just wanted to post a pic of the little guy eating his bday cake. He LOVED it!

So...a delayed announcement

I had meant to post this a couple weeks ago, but then we were headed to Denver and the wireless wasn't working properly (thanks to my smarty-pants DH, it's fixed), and then I guess I kept forgetting to post it, but...

We're expecting!!! We're due in the beginning of October, so we're officially in our 2nd trimester. I had an ultrasound at my last appointment just to make sure everything was ok and it is :)

We're all very excited and looking forward to this addition to our family. It's something that we all wanted and planned for, so we feel very blessed.

We'll keep you updated as news arrives. I don't know yet if we're going to find out what we're having. We talked about it briefly last night, but haven't decided anything.

So...what else can I say...we're all just very very happy :)

Some stuff I've been working on...

I'm being nice and doing some graphics for a dear friend of mine who is designing a web site for a commodities broker. I say being nice because I'm not charging him by the hour :) That's what friends are for...

Anyway, I just designed a logo and a couple banners for the site, so...I'm not sure what they're going to use, but here are a couple examples of the first draft graphics :)

Ok, so I'm channeling my inner Bambi with that title, but whatever...

I don't have anything interesting to post today except a picture of an orchid from when Ms H and I took the kids to the zoo. It was a fun trip, but there were waaaay too many people there. Dumb March. Everyone has spring break, so you can't go anywhere or else it's packed. Yuck!

Life's a Zoo...

I don't even know what that means, but I was trying to say that we had a busy day and I have pictures from when we went to the zoo a couple weeks ago...

I sent out evites today for Monkey's 1st bday party. I was going to mail them all out, but forget it. I don't have the time to address that many envelopes.

If you didn't get an evite today, it probably means I don't have your address, so send it to me and I'll be more than happy to get you the information! We hope to see everyone there!
