Sorry...AGAIN...

I haven't been updating the last week. I know. I'm sorry.

I had the ultrasound tech from hell last week and she put me into such a state that I've been a wreck until I had my appointment yesterday.

Good news: Baby is doing great. He's probably going to be a little smaller than Cole, but right around 7 lbs. He was just over 5 lbs last week and I have 2-3 weeks to go, so...Yeay!

The kids all survived my over-emotional frazzlement (yes, that's a word, I made it up myself) and I even got out of the house last night for a little "Me Time"...I LOVE that commercial with the turtle..

Sorry, I digress...

Bad news: There is an ultrasound tech at St Francis that is AWFUL. She was half hour late for my appointment, rushed through the entire thing, mumbled under her breath about what a "long stomach" the baby had and how he was below measurment on something else (turned out to be NOTHING) and when I asked her WHAT?!?!?!?! in all my frightened mother-to-be anxious voice, she says "Nothing...Just lie down...we'll be done soon."

Ummmm...what???

Anyway, I heard this song on the radio yesterday on 89.3 - The Current (LOVE that station) and it made me smile and giggle out loud, so I thought I would share it. I don't know why this song brings out the happy in me, it just does :)

(Ok, so I just watched the video for the first time and it's pretty violent...at least for a "happy place" kind of song. I wonder what this says about my state of mind right now...aw f#$%^ it...whatever...it made me smile after a week of being cranky, so whatever, right?)

Reading is Good...

It's Hot...

I'm stuck in the house without the air...

I'm 9 months pregnant and am supposed to be staying off my feet for at least another week to both aid my swollen body and make sure Baby doesn't come too soon.

Oh yeah, and I'm not supposed to lift over 15 lbs, but haven't listened to that either, so I finally found out what happens when you don't listen to your doctor...I won't even tell you the gory details.

Needless to say, life is boring and frustrating. I picked up a book suggested by a gal from my mommy group and am trying to get into it, but Monkey keeps making me read Tom the Grocer...NOT a good read, but he loves it, so what do you do.

Bobalu, my super reader, LOVES to read to Monkey. Case in point:

Unfortunately, it's not fair to keep him locked up in the house with us all day, so it's just Monkey and I.

Did I mention that my darling husband has class all day today and tomorrow???
Yeah...life is great ;)

I'm going to a mommy meetup this evening so that will at least cut the boredom a little...or at least make tomorrow a little more bearable :)

Only a little while longer....only a little while longer....only a little while longer...

A Boy and His Horse...

Monkey got this horse last Christmas...not the most practical gift for an 8 month old, but whatever...we recently rediscovered the horse and Monkey loves it :)

Sorry...

Ok, I had a little bit of a temper tantrum yesterday with this blogger thing. I apologise. Turns out it was actually a problem with Photoshop and my batch processing tool...my images were just too big...

Today will be better...it started off sucking - Monkey broke my expensive sunglasses that DH bought me on our honeymoon so now I have neither prescription glasses or my dark shades to cover my albino eyelashed overly-tired eyes in the morning when I'm dropping off kids....great...
We're supposed to go to playgroup in an hour...we'll see...Monkey is rubbing his eyes already. Probably because he was up so freaking early again.

I get crabby with my little monsters and then they do something completely adorable and my heart just melts...

Like these: Monkey fell asleep on the way home from picking up Bobalu from school so I carried him inside and let him lay down on the couch while I got dinner ready....about 10 mn later, Bobalu whispers..."Mom! Hey Mom....get the camera" Hahahahaha

B isn't really sleeping here, he just realized a great photo-op when he saw one...or rather CREATED one :)

Gotta love it...

WTF?!?!?!

Blogger is making me angry. It's not working. I don't know what the deal is, but if it's not better by tomorrow, I'm going to be very very crabby.

I've got 2 posts waiting for pics and they won't upload and now it's telling me I can't post this because someone else is editing it??? What is that???

Anyone else having problems with blogger right now???

Cah-RAZZZYYYYY Hair

Even babies have bad hair days...especially when they don't have a lot to work with...

Back to School...

I promised you photos from the first day(s) of school...they started on different days this year. Well, without further ado, here they are:

I'll have to post the ones of Pipps later...Blogger isn't working very efficiently right now :(
Ok, here are the ones of Ms P!

TGIF...

So I'm still pregnant...not that I expected NOT to be at this point, but I'm so ready for this baby to be born and my due date is still a month away.

This morning was almost the death of me. Ms Pipps and I had a big argument over nothing (I'm chalking it up to her pre-pubescent hormones and my pregnant hormones)...then Monkey dumped a whole box of Kix all over the living room carpet. Nice.

What was I doing at the time you ask? Well...trying to get some work done. I should know better right now then to try and work while Monkey is awake. It makes no sense. He's no longer content to play peacefully with his toys. Instead he's into the kitchen drawers, cutting his fingers, pouring out cereal, making an enormous mess.

And yes, I bought the locks and we installed them, but being the clever child that he is, he's figured out how to either open them or break them....or both.

So we left the house...went to storytime, got lost on the way because I could've sworn there was an exit where there wasn't one and storytime was fun, but Monkey really wasn't into sitting and listening, so my super-pregnant and waddling butt chased him around until I couldn't stand it anymore and we left.

We did go out for lunch today. It was nice. Had a little Thai food to ease my pregnant cravings :)
I've also heard that spicy food can make you go into labor, so hopefully that'll work...Monkey ate all his food like a champ and the seat and floor were only minimally covered with rice when we left. A definite improvement...

And yes, I uploaded some pictures to my computer yesterday, but no I haven't gotten them ready to post here, so...sorry. I'm trying. At least I remembered to write today!!!

Angie Frangipani...

So I'm at book club last night and I get scolded for never updating this thing anymore.

My apologies readers, I have had no insightful thoughts, clever musings or witty jokes. I am in a rut...

I also haven't really been pulling out the camera, so although I took a bunch of pictures for the first day of school, I really have no motivation to go and dig out the card and plug it in, resize them for the web and then post them on here (yeah, I know it only takes like 2 minutes).

I'm sorry. I'm being lazy. School started and so now not only am I 9 months pregnant, but I'm up at the ass-crack of dawn with my children trying to look presentable and get out of the door on time so that when I drop off B, Monkey is dressed and changed and I don't look like I just rolled out of bed.

I'm not sure if all the caffeine I have to consume to get through my mornings is very good for the new baby, but I figure he'll be ok ;) If nothing else, he'll be born into this world with a good appreciation for a nice strong cup of java.

My Mommy friends from PLM are wonderful. They've been so supportive and wonderful and even if it's only that they show up to coffee on our coffee mornings, or laugh about my swollen body at bookclub, it means the world to me. Men just don't get it. Sorry guys, but it's true.

So I'm going to try and make an effort to sit down here once a day and post at least something...maybe it'll get my creative juices flowing...although at 35.5 weeks pregnant, I'm pretty sure all my juices are pooling around my (k)ankles...yeah...I'm really hot these days ;)

We have a dinner to go to on Friday night and I have nothing to wear. I figure that the new haircut should maybe distract from the kankles and the boobs spilling out of my bra. For those of you that know me, this is no small feat...I have such small boobs that for them to spill out of anything is pretty much a miracle. I'm going to enjoy them this time while I still can because after nursing Monkey, I got an idea of what they're going to look like and after nursing ANOTHER baby, I shudder to think of where they'll end up....

All of a sudden I'm hungry for pancakes...

Gross, not really. Sorry...I'm reaching here. Maybe it's time to put the keyboard away until tomorrow ;)
